Balenciaga's Pre-Fall 2012 collection has MISS written in capitalized words all over it! Hasn't Nicolas Ghesquière learned that the 80's has already been infused numerous times and should be given a rest? Even if this collection was 80's-inspired, could it be anymore literal? What happened to the cool, not-trying-too-hard, innovative look that Balenciaga is prominent and distinguished for? If this is any indication of how their F/W collection is going to look, then I'm a bit frightened (in other words: flabbergasted!) and immensely disappointed.
