Alexandre Plokhov Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

Alexandre Plokhov debuted his Fall/Winter 2012 menswear collection earlier tonight at the Runway at Exit Art. Amongst the guests included Tommy Ton, fashion photographer and author of the blog Jak & Jill, Vogue editors, bloggers, and photographers, ranging from the New York Times to Style.com.

Backstage: Hectic. Models, dressers, hair and makeup artists jaunted swiftly trying to prep for the show. Casting directors lined models up alphabetically for rehearsals and photographers lurked in corners trying to get good quality shots.

The Collection: Two words: grungy and cool. Tailored knitwears, leather skirts, military-inspired trench coats, and dark, flowy tops characterized the collection. Models sported shoulder-length hairs, dark eyeliner, and a ferocious attitude. Conjoined with the collection was a dark, musky soundtrack that played loudly, of which oozed fear and excitement into the atmosphere.

And let's not forget the talented Mr. Alexandre Plokhov:

This was the party to be at this Friday night.
